The Nursery Rhyme Doll Collection ™ is a series of cloth dolls based on classic Mother Goose nursery rhyme characters. The dolls represent a return to tradition, and are wonderful decorative additions to any nursery, as well as toys that will delight children of all ages. Roundtable Dolls, Inc. will produce several new dolls each year based on nursery rhyme characters and will also produce special limited editions each holiday season.
After seeing many dolls with jeans and other modern-day styles, we have decided to create dolls reflecting the time period of the original stories. We have extensively researched books for descriptions of the original hair and clothing styles and have designed dolls which feature 100-year-old pageboy haircuts, knickers and buckled shoes. Presently, there are five dolls in the collection. Each doll, with the exception of Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, who only comes in the larger size, comes in two sizes. The larger dolls are 13", the smaller dolls are 8".
The dolls are of the very highest quality. The faces are embroidered, not printed. The clothing and accessories are removable, and are attached with Velcro - there are no buttons or snaps that can be removed by a small child. A printed card with the appropriate nursery rhyme is attached to the doll's wrist with a ribbon. We know that you will be amazed at the quality of the workmanship and will love the timeless appeal of these beautiful dolls.
